Earl Grey Weekly Message


As always, it has been a busy time at Earl Grey School. Thank you to everyone who attended our School Council meeting on Tuesday. Please be sure to check the School Council section of the weekly update for information about upcoming meetings and volunteer opportunities. Students have also been participating in inline skating and learning how they can take part in the Earl Grey Science Fair. Please make sure you are looking at the school calendar and weekly update to be in the know of what is going on. Reminder there is No School Jan 30 2026.

Attendance Line

Please follow the steps below to report your child absent:

  • Call 403-777-8570 (option 1) if your child will be absent.
  • If picking up early, sign out in the green binder at the office.
  • Late arrivals must check in at the office before going to class.
  • Bus students: notify the office if you plan to pick them up instead.

Science fair information meetings happened all last week! Science Fair Packages have been sent out via messenger, and please ensure registration forms are return to the school by Jan 29th 2026.

Free After-School Programming -The Calgary Bridge Foundation


We are excited to share that The Calgary Bridge Foundation is offering a FREE after‑school program beginning Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The program will run every Tuesday from 2:30–4:30 p.m.

Elboya School - Grade 6 French Immersion and Grade 7 Late French Immersion

Elboya School offers Gr. 6 Intensive French and Gr. 7 Late French Immersion programs. Open House is on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 6 pm.  Families are welcome to attend to learn more about these programs.  More information can be found here:  https://elboya.cbe.ab.ca/open-house.

Throughout the year, we want to intentionally recognize dates that are meaningful to students, families, and staff within our school community. Acknowledging Dates of Significance helps us build a welcoming, caring, respectful, and safe environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. These moments provide opportunities for learning, reflection, and meaningful conversations at school and at home.
