Please follow the steps below to report your child absent:
- Call 403-777-8570 (option 1) if your child will be absent.
- If picking up early, sign out in the green binder at the office with name and reason.
- Late arrivals must check in at the office before going to class.
- Bus students: notify the office if you plan to pick them up instead.
Earl Grey Science Fair Monday- Tuesday!!
This week is the Annual Earl Grey Science Fair!
- April 20: Grades 1–3
- April 21: Grades 4–6
Families are invited to attend the Science Fair either during the morning judging period 9:00am - 10:30am or in the afternoon 12:00-1:30pm while classes tour the exhibits. For school safety, all visitors must check into the office.
Science Fair Judges - a separate email will be sent out.
If you are able to volunteer on April 21st 8am -11:00am - Grade 4-6 science fair, please email Mrs. Metz- sametz@cbe.ab.ca.
Healthy Hunger

IMPORTANT: If your family would like to receive a donated lunch, please let the office know via email earlgrey@cbe.ab.ca by May 9th no questions asked.
Spring Concert Grades K-3 - Save the Date May 7th, 2026
Please refer to Ms. Cotton’s email sent on Friday, April 17, 2026. This information was shared by Ms. Cotton for Grades 1–3 and by Mrs. Metz for Kindergarten.
Cultural Day- April 30th
There has been a great deal of interest from students in creating individual presentations or displays to share their cultures and traditions. Teachers have connected directly with the families of students who expressed interest.
If you have not yet confirmed your child’s participation, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.
More specific information about Cultural Day will be shared next week.
Dates of Significance – April
Throughout the year, we want to intentionally recognize dates that are meaningful to students, families, and staff within our school community. Acknowledging Dates of Significance helps us build a welcoming, caring, respectful, and safe environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. These moments provide opportunities for learning, reflection, and meaningful conversations at school and at home.
