Earl Grey Weekly Message

Welcome back, and Happy New Year to our Earl Grey families! We hope you enjoyed a restful break filled with special moments. We’re excited to welcome students back and dive into engaging learning together. This edition includes a few reminders, some new information, and important dates to keep on your calendar. Look forward to seeing you all Monday morning!

Traffic Safety Reminder

As we return from winter break, we’d like to offer a quick reminder about morning drop-off routines. Please remember we are in school zone and we appreciate you not making U-turns directly in front of the school as this helps keep our busy mornings safe for everyone.

Also please do not park in the parking lot during school hours, this includes drop off and pick up. Little steps families can use the parking lot before 7:45 am and after 3:30pm

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping ensure a safe start to the day for our students.

Morning Routine Reminders

• Outdoor supervision begins at 7:45 am
• Soft entry begins at 7:50 am
• Warning bell rings at 7:57 am
• Classes begin at 8:00 am sharp

Parents/Guardians, we kindly ask that you do not enter through the back doors or walk in with your students to their classrooms. If you need to enter the school, please come through the front doors and come to the office, we are happy to assist you!

Attendance Line

Please follow the steps below to report your child absent:

• Call 403-777-8570 (option 1) if your child will be absent.
• If picking up early, sign out in the green binder at the office.
• Late arrivals must check in at the office before going to class.
• Bus students: notify the office if you plan to pick them up instead.

Reminder: Personal Devices – “Away for the Day”

Reminder for all families to review our “Away for the Day” expectations. Personal devices—must remain off and put away during the entire school day.

If a student needs to contact home, they must do so through their teacher and the school office. This helps ensure student safety, reduce distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment.
