Earl Grey Weekly Message


I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather! This week, we are pleased to welcome Ms. Stephanie Berezowski to Earl Grey School. Ms. Berezowski will be working Tuesdays and Thursdays with students across our primary grades to support literacy development until March. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Berezowski to our school community.

Lock Down Drill

This week, our school practiced a lockdown drill as part of our regular safety procedures, with support from the Calgary Police Service. Early in the week, teachers took time to explain the process to students and answer any questions so they knew what to expect. Our students did an excellent job following directions, and CPS was very impressed with how calmly and responsibly they responded.

Calgary Police Service also reinforced the importance of all visitors signing in and reporting directly to the office, so the school is aware of all visitors in the building. We appreciate our school community’s continued support in following these important safety procedures.

Attendance Line

Please follow the steps below to report your child absent:

  • Call 403-777-8570 (option 1) if your child will be absent.
  • If picking up early, sign out in the green binder at the office.
  • Late arrivals must check in at the office before going to class.
  • Bus students: notify the office if you plan to pick them up instead.

Science Fair


Earl Grey Science Fair is happening SOON!! We have a team of teachers on it and next week there will be information meetings for the students.

Monday- General information meeting for all students. If your child attended they will have received a parent package to give to you.

Tuesday- Division 1 students (grades1-3) will have a information meeting.

Wednesday- Division 2 (4-6) will have an information meeting.

Alien In-lineainline


Earl Grey is so excited to have Alien In-line coming to our school Jan 20-29th 2026.

Classroom teachers have sent home information and forms for this. Teachers will reach out if they are requiring volunteers.

Please make sure to get the required forms back, so we can get everyone participating in this awesome opportunity. If you have questions please reach out to your child's classroom teacher.

Elboya School - Grade 6 French Immersion and Grade 7 Late French Immersion

Elboya School offers Gr. 6 Intensive French and Gr. 7 Late French Immersion programs. Open House is on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 6 pm.  Families are welcome to attend to learn more about these programs.  More information can be found here:  https://elboya.cbe.ab.ca/open-house.
