EARL GREY WEEKLY UPDATE
We had an amazing few days with Elev8 Lacrosse! The timing was perfect — with the cold temperatures keeping us indoors, this residency helped students stay active, engaged, and moving! The good news is that this week looks much warmer, and students should be able to head back outside to enjoy some fresh air and outdoor play.
Please note that this is a short week. There is no school on Friday due to Parent-Teacher Interviews.
We look forward to seeing many of you at conferences
Staff Parking Lot
Please note that the school parking lot is not available for public parking or student drop-off during the school day, as this creates an unsafe situation for students and staff.
If you are dropping your child off after 8:00 a.m., please ensure they enter through the front doors so they can be signed in and properly accounted for. Please do not knock at the back door to be let in.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep all students safe.
Attendance Line
Please follow the steps below to report your child absent:
- Call 403-777-8570 (option 1) if your child will be absent.
- If picking up early, sign out in the green binder at the office.
- Late arrivals must check in at the office before going to class.
- Bus students: notify the office if you plan to pick them up instead..
Report Cards and Parent Teacher Interviews
Report cards will be released on February 24, 2026 and can be viewed through your MyCBE Account.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place:
- Thursday, February 26: 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
- Friday, February 27: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
(No school for students on Friday.)
Conference booking is now live for all families and will close on February 25 at 3:00 p.m. Families can book a 15-minute conference with their child’s teacher by logging into their MyCBE . If you do not yet have your MyCBE account set up, please contact the school by email and we will provide instructions.
Due to limited conference slots, and the need to reserve additional time for students with identified needs and families requiring interpreters, we are unable to accommodate requests for multiple conferences for the same student.
If you are unable to attend during the scheduled conference times, please contact your child’s teacher directly to make alternate arrangements.

Pink Shirt Day Assembly- Message from our Student Leadership Team
Dear Parents:
On Wednesday February 25, 2026, we would encourage you to tell your child to wear a pink shirt to school. On Wednesday February 25, at 9:30 a.m., we will be having a Pink Shirt Day assembly. Pink Shirt Day is an international day geared towards anti-bullying. The pink shirt represents bullying and how it is important to take a stand against bullying. Kindergarten and Mrs. Scherchel’s Grade 4 class will be presenting about kindness. Mrs. Branco’s Grade 1 class will be presenting the Land Acknowledgment using sign language. And a few Grade 5 and 6 students will be reading friendship poems.
Please feel free to attend if you are able! Hope to see you there

Dates of Significance – February
Throughout the year, we want to intentionally recognize dates that are meaningful to students, families, and staff within our school community. Acknowledging Dates of Significance helps us build a welcoming, caring, respectful, and safe environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. These moments provide opportunities for learning, reflection, and meaningful conversations at school and at home.
