Earl Grey Weekly Message
We are very excited for the week ahead! Our Grade 4–6 students will be performing in the Holiday Concert, and we can’t wait to share their hard work and festive spirit with you. Families of students in Kindergarten to Grade 3 your children will take the stage in our Spring Concert later this year!
A heartfelt thank you to our School Council members who volunteered their time to help make the school feel festive and welcoming. Your support is truly appreciated and makes a meaningful difference in our community.
Important Traffic Safety Reminder
Please review the traffic safety poster.
We appreciate everyone being mindful of these rules to keep everyone safe. Please remember please no U-turns in front of the school and in the school zone area
Reminder: Personal Devices – “Away for the Day”
As we move into a busy December, this is a friendly reminder for all families to review our “Away for the Day” expectations. Personal devices—must remain off and put away during the entire school day.
If a student needs to contact home, they must do so through their teacher and the school office. This helps ensure student safety, reduce distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment.

Holiday Concert: “Stories by the Fire”
Our Grade 4–6 students are excited to present this year’s Holiday Concert, “Stories by the Fire.” It’s a cold, blustery, snowy day, and the kids are gathered by the fire, counting down the days until Winter Break.
Families are welcome to attend one of the following performances:
- Morning Performance: December 11 at 9:00 a.m. (extended family welcome)
- Evening Performance: December 11 at 6:30 p.m. (intended for Parents/Guardians)
Holiday Concert Costumes
Students are encouraged to wear anything festive that makes them feel comfortable. Please do not purchase anything new—students can simply wear what they already have at home. We ask that students wear a small “step up” from regular school clothing.
Boys
- Festive sweaters
- Nice button-up shirts
- Khaki pants or nice jeans
Girls
- Festive outfits or dresses
- Comfortable shoes they can walk safely in
- Holiday colours or accessories
Thank you for helping students feel confident and ready for their performance—we can’t wait to share this special event with you!
Christmas Stars – Thank You, Earl Grey!
All of our Christmas Stars have been taken—thank you, Earl Grey community, for your incredible generosity! Every star represents a gift or gift card that will brighten the season for one of our families, and we are so grateful for your support.
If you selected a star, please remember to return your wrapped gift or gift card to the office by December 10 so we can ensure timely delivery to families.
