Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Meet the Teacher Open House Evening. The event was a tremendous success, and it was wonderful to see so many families connecting with one another, meeting staff, and strengthening our school community. We loved seeing students proudly share their classrooms and learning spaces.


Orange Shirt Day Sept 29 2026


Sept. 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, intended to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) Call to Action No. 80 and honor the experiences and resilience of Indigenous children and communities by commemorating and raising awareness about the painful legacy of Canada's residential school system.

Since there is no school on Sept. 30 , Earl Grey will be recognizing Orange Shirt Day Sept 29, 2026. Students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt to raise awareness and will be engaging in a variety of classroom activities as part of our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

Here is a list of community events families can partake in on Sept 30th.


Families are welcome to attend our assembly on Sept 29 at 9 am in the gym.


Student Attendance

  • Call 403-777-8570 (option 1) if your child will be absent.
  • If picking up early, sign out in the green binder at the office.
  • Late arrivals must check in at the office before going to class.
  • Bus students: notify the office if you plan to pick them up instead.

Lunch Supervision (Grades 1–6)


  • Students staying at school for lunch must be registered through MyCBE.
  • Supervision fees help offset the cost of lunchroom supervisors.
  • Families choosing to opt out must:
    • Pick up students at 11:00 a.m.
    • Return them at 11:40 a.m.
