Hello Earl Grey Families
No School Thursday or Friday as it is Teachers’ Convention.
Each February, people across Canada participate in Black History Month events and celebrations that honour the legacy and contributions of Black people in Canada and their communities. The 2025 theme for Black History Month is: “Black Legacy and Leadership: Celebrating Canadian History and Uplifting Future Generations.” This theme acknowledges the diversity of Black Canadians, the importance of Black leadership and the legacy being built for future generations. More information can be found here: Black History Month
At Earl Grey School, we celebrate Black History Month by engaging in classroom activities and discussions around diversity, inclusion and the contributions by Canadians of African and Caribbean descent.
Science Fair Participants and Families
Parents of grade 5 and 6 students registered for the Science Fair, can now order the Large Tri-folds online using your MyCBE account at a cost of $39.50 (no cash purchases at the school, please order online). We have divided this price in half for students working with a partner and this price has also been reflected in your MyCBE account. Large Tri-Folds will be available for pick up later in February and students will be notified when they arrive at the school. Students in grades 1 to 4 will use the smaller tri-fold that can be purchased at any dollar or craft store.
