Final Library Book Return Date:
ALL library books need to be returned by Thursday, June 13. I know that sounds early but it takes a long time to get everything returned.

Mrs. Sorensen Retirement Celebration:
Mrs. Sorensen’s Retirement Party will be held on Thursday June 13 at the Loch Gallery.
This event isn't just about bidding farewell to Mrs. Sorensen; it's about our community uniting for a heartfelt cause. Ticket proceeds will fund the new playground, a cherished symbol of growth, with a special place to be named in honor of Mrs. Sorensen's lasting legacy. We invite you to participate in our silent auction, where you can bid on a variety of items generously donated by local businesses and community members.

Talent Show – Earl Greys’ Got Talent!
- There will be a Div. 1(K-Gr. 3) and Div. 2 (Gr. 4-6) talent show. Div. 1 is June 17 and Div. 2 is June 18.
- All auditions are to be submitted via email to Mr. Junaid: JeJunaid@cbe.ab.ca Please see the attached poster for a link.
- Deadline for submitting: June 7 at 10 a.m.
- No lip-syncs
- Maximum time approx. 3minutes
- Group auditions - maximum of 4 to 6 students
- If your talent involves activities such as diving or horseback riding, your performance must be submitted and presented as a video recording only.
- When submitting email submissions please indicate if your performance will be live or on video
- The second important date is Monday, June 10th which is when you will be notified that your submission has been accepted for you to perform!

Tennis Lessons:
Grade 3 to 6 - Monday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 12
As part of our grades 3 to 6 physical Education program. Instructors from the Calgary Tennis Center will be working with all grade 3 to 6 students to introduce them to the sport of tennis. The lessons will take place at Mount Royal Station located at 2317 10th Street SW on Monday June 10 and Wednesday June 12. All equipment is provided. Students are encourage to have running shoes, a water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent on these days.
The cost for the lessons is $16 per student. This fee will be assigned in each student’s MyCBE account.
Student Snacks, Coffee Pods and Office Reminders:
If you are able to support the school in providing snacks for students and coffee pods for teachers volunteers please drop them off at the office. Also, if you are picking your child up prior to dismissal, please sign them out at the office.
Playground Committee update:
Congratulations to Mr. Bridges class for receiving the door knocking class pizza party!
Door knocking is underway! If you haven't signed up please do. There are still 8-10 areas that are needing volunteers to help with. Sign up now to spread the word about the playground project and earn points towards a pizza party for your child's class! Deadline for earning points is the end of May.

Blaze Pizza
Only one more Blaze Pizza School Fundraisers Left! June 27 from 4-8pm
Blaze gives a 20% kick back to Earl Grey Parent Council for programs such as the reading program, art residencies, new playground project, concerts etc. use the Blaze fundraising code (1107A) when placing your order from 4-8 p.m. to raise money for the school.
