Hello Earl Grey Families,
Our Be Brave School field trip was a huge success. Thank you to all our volunteers who helped to make this day possible!
Music Notes from Mrs. Sorensen
The Division 1 (K-2) musical, “Nuts” will be held on Wednesday, March 13. We will have two performances. One at 9:30 am and a second one at 1:45 pm. All parents, grandparents and extended family members are welcome to attend! The total time for the performances should not exceed 40 minutes.
KINDERGARTEN classes: The regular school times will remain for the Kinders. Should you wish for your child to participate in both performances, it will by your responsibility to ensure supervision is provided to attend, pick up and drop off. Thank you!
We are working on providing costumes for each of the students. We are trying our best to provide and to honor the request of your child for a particular character. All Kindergarten students will be a particular “nut.”
Please speak with your child regarding their costume. They all know what they are going to be and who needs to create their own costume. Only those students wishing to be a bird, fox or rabbit will need to provide their own costume. The students who will be nuts could be dressed in one solid color. Brown is preferable. Black or beige will work as well. No worries if this cannot happen!
We will be needing some parent volunteers the day of the concert to help with costumes and apply make up to some of our animals!
A huge Thank You to Lynn and Lindsay for the work they have already given to organize the students’ costumes!
Please contact Mrs. Sorensen should you have any questions! kgsorensen@cbe.ab.ca
Girls’ Choir
We are hoping to have a “musical tour” the week of March 19. This might include a walking trip to a local school, a bus trip to another school, a celebration lunch at Earl Grey and ending with an assembly for our parents to attend at Earl Grey. Details will follow!
In the meantime, a choir practice will happen next Wednesday at lunch, on March the 6, and the following Tuesday, March 12 at lunch. We will keep you updated!
All girls are asked to dress in black for their performance! Thanks again for your support!
