Hello Earl Grey Families,

Playground Committee Update

Our fundraising for the new Earl Grey Playground has launched, along with the website about the project. If you have been thinking of volunteering to help the playground project we have three opportunities that we would love your help with.

1. Door knocking in the neighbourhoods surrounding Earl Grey to help spread the news of our new playground and request donations. Please use the sign-up genius link here to learn more and volunteer:

Door Knocking Info and Volunteer Sign Up

We have two amazing parents who are leading this.  They will assign a section of 20-30 houses (approximately 1 hour of door knocking) for volunteers to visit during the month of May.  We will supply a map that outlines your area, a sample script, and flyers that you can hand out at each house.

The students have been excited about this project so if you would like to have your child/children participate please have them join you!  And when you sign up please enter your child's teacher name in the comments section.  This will earn your child's classroom 1 point.  The classroom with the most points wins a Pizza Party lunch!

We hope you have so much fun walking around the neighbourhoods!

2. We will have a corporate package about the project available next week.  If you work at or know of a company that has an employee, community or philanthropy program that would support this project please email the committee at earlgreyplayground@gmail.com

3. The playground committee is looking for some accounting/bookkeeping support.  If you or someone you know is a bookkeeper, accountant, CFA or has project accounting experience and would be able to volunteer with the playground project please email earlgreyplayground@gmail.com

Also, copies of the playground project flyer are available at the school office.  So, if you have someone you would like to give a copy of it to or if you have somewhere you could post it, like your favourite coffee shop or office, please pick up the flyer from the school office.

Thank you for your support and contributions to help the Earl Grey students play together and grow together.
