Dear Earl Grey School Community,
I’m excited to introduce myself as the new Principal of Earl Grey School starting this August. It’s a true privilege to be joining such a creative and connected school community, and I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you.
Over the past 17 years, I’ve dedicated my career to creating inclusive, supportive spaces where all students can thrive. I’ve spent many years as a classroom teacher and specialized programming educator, and for the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as an Assistant Principal. Across all of these roles, my focus has been on building strong teams, supporting student well-being, and helping every learner feel a true sense of belonging and success. I’m now thrilled to take this next step in my leadership journey with the Earl Grey School community.
As both an educational leader and a parent of children in the CBE system, I deeply value the partnership between families and schools. I believe that when we work together with trust and open communication, students feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
One of the things that drew me to Earl Grey School is its strong sense of community and the wide range of extracurricular and numerous opportunities available to students. I’m passionate about helping kids find spaces where they can connect, grow, and express themselves beyond the classroom. I also have a personal love for the arts and believe deeply in the value of creativity, performance, and expression as part of a well-rounded education.
I’ll be spending time over the summer getting ready for the year ahead, and I hope to meet many of you soon. Please feel free to reach out, introduce yourself, or say hello when the new school year begins!
Here’s to a year of connection, creativity, and “Nothing but the Best!”
Have a safe and restful summer,
Kaylen Christiansen
