Weekly Update Nov. 6-10 | Remembrance Day, Book Fair

Hello Earl Grey Families,

We had an exciting week with Tuesday’s Halloween Parade. Many parents popped in for the parade to cheer on our students in their Halloween costumes. It was wonderful to see how our EG community came together.

Remembrance Day Ceremony, Wednesday, November 8 at 10:30a.m.

Earl Grey School will be holding our Remembrance Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 8 at 10:30 a.m. in the gym. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Boys’ Choir will be hosting the assembly.  Just a reminder that there is no applause during a Remembrance Day Ceremony.  Any student who is a present member of Scouts or Girl Guides are invited to wear their uniforms.

All students will receive a poppy prior to the assembly.  We will be collecting donations for the Canadian Legion Poppy Fund beginning on Monday.

Scholastic Book Fair coming to EG!

Our school’s Scholastic Book Fair is coming back! From November 20-24, discover new and bestselling titles coming right to our school. Bonus: Every purchase supports our school and helps to keep kids reading! Mrs. Lee is still looking for volunteers to help out too.

Hours are 12:30 – 3:30 Monday to Thursday, the afternoon and evening of parent-teacher conferences on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00pm and Friday from 8 am to 12 pm.
