Hello Earl Grey Families,
Thank you for attending our Meet the Teacher Night. It was wonderful to welcome back and meet new families to Earl Grey School.
We are also pleased to announce we raised over $800.00 for the Terry Fox Foundation!
Monday, September 25 – Saturday, September 30 - Truth and Reconciliation Week
This week is dedicated to bringing awareness to the impacts of residential schools with the goal of fostering truth and reconciliation. Staff and students will be engaging in a variety of Indigenous stories and reflection activities throughout the week. Thursday, September 28, students and staff are encouraged to wear an orange shirt to show their support to those impacted and who continuing to be impacted today from residential schools. Earl Grey will be participating in a school wide conversation and activity about how children should feel while at school and to foster understanding that EVERY CHILD MATTERS. You are encouraged to have conversations with your child/ren at home around these topics to help further educate the ways of Indigenous people.

Online Forms
You will receive a message from Calgary Board of Education regarding Completing Online Forms. It is being sent out alphabetically by last name. Once you get this email follow the instructions to complete your online forms. If you do not have your MyCBE account created you’ll need to create your account to complete the forms. If you require your student’s CBE ID Number, please send an email to Mrs. Patterson at plpatterson@cbe.ab.ca from the same email address we have on file. If you need support filling out the forms, please contact the office at 403-777-8570.
Student Health Plan
If your child/ren requires medication to be taken at school we require a Student Health Plan form to be completed and signed by a Parent/Legal Guardian. Here is a link to the form: Student Health Plan
Attendance
It is important that you call the school if your child is going to be absent or arriving late. Please report all absences to the Attendance Line at 403-777-8570 ext.1. If a student arrives to school late please have them come to the office before heading off to class.
Parents, please drop students off at their designated doors located in the back of the school. If you are picking students up early for an appointment, we ask that you sign your child out at the office using the green binder. If a student arrives late, please make sure the student checks in with the office prior to going to class.
School Council
Thank you to all our parents for your willingness to take on an executive or support role on our Earl Grey school council. Please see the attached information from our council under Resources.
After School Art Program
Vania Dimitrova is once again teaming up with Little Steps Before and After School Care to run an after school art program here at Earl Grey. Please see the attached registration form for more information.
