Orange Shirt Day at Earl Grey -Oct. 1 2025
Sept. 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, intended to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) Call to Action No. 80 and honor the experiences and resilience of Indigenous children and communities by commemorating and raising awareness about the painful legacy of Canada's residential school system.
Since there is no school on Tuesday, Sept. 30, Earl Grey will be recognizing Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt to raise awareness and will be engaging in a variety of classroom activities as part of our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.
Here is a list of community events families can partake in on Tuesday Sept 30th.
